Why should I pay more to hire a professional?
My name is Matthew & MagicShow2Go is my company. It’s a company I have been building for over 15 years. During that time I have always taken great pride in the fact that I have NEVER missed a single show. Here at MagicShow2Go we provide shows right from the smallest children’s birthday party in your home through to the largest corporate event. I have always done this and continue to run my business with a good “old fashioned” work ethic that you rarely see today. I strive to give all of my customers the VERY BEST as I feel you deserve nothing less!
Now to the matter at hand. I have blogged on this subject more than once but last week one of my customers got the unfortunate answer first hand, let me explain.
I was out for the morning shopping with my wife, after that we planned to go for a walk before I started my busy day of shows. I got a call at about 11:30am from a very desperate parent asking me if I could do a show last minute. I asked the parent “When?” at which point he replied “NOW!”.
To cut a long story short, it turns out he had hired a performer to perform at his daughters birthday party. The performer showed up, felt the performance would not work or be suitable and left without doing a show. Not only did the performer leave but now he had children and guests, an hour break in the party and NO performer! Can you imagine?
It turns out that I was able to squeeze the party in before my other shows. I raced to get there, did a great job and every one was very very happy. When I asked my customer why they had gone with this performer in the first place they replied “We thought this performer would be more suitable for the young age group & this performer was a little cheaper!”. I left them very happy and now they (and their friends) will be repeat customers in the future. The funny thing, my price was only about $50.00 more than the performer who left and what they got was a professional show from someone who cared about their experience from start to finish.
In todays tough economic times it is more important than ever that we spend our money wisely!
Whether you are having a birthday party for your child at home or holding a corporate event for 500 of your most important customers it is so important to get your entertainment right! Pay a little bit extra & book a professional, you will be so glad you did!
