WOW! Has this last two weeks been awesome or what!
What a way to finish too, Gold medal in hockey on Canadian soil! It just does not get any better than that. I am sure you will join me in congratulating all of our Canadian athletes and all of the people involved in this winter games that made these the best games on the planet!
You know I moved to Vancouver from the UK 12 years ago and I have never felt more proud of where I now live as I have over the past few weeks! Just a great time to live in Vancouver.
On a side note, I will be off on my travels again. As many of you know my home base is here in Vancouver, British Columbia where I perform most of the year, however on occasion I travel to other countries to perform and this year is no exception. I have a few trips coming up this year, the first one of which is from the 5th of March to the 19th of March.
In this two weeks I will be traveling to Aalborg in Denmark where I will be performing and lecturing at a Magic Convention for 4 days. After this it’s off to do a lecture for the Oslo Magic Club in Norway and then the day after that I fly to Trondheim in Norway to do another lecture for the Norway Magic Circle. I have never been to Denmark or Norway so this should be a great deal of fun.
For those of you new to my website and my blog I should explain that I am an all round magician, that means I perform at all manner of events from Birthday Parties to Dry Grads, Cocktail Receptions to Weddings. I like it that way! It means no two shows are ever the same and keeps things fresh and diverse.
Take this weekend for example, I did 5 shows this weekend and they were all over the map. I performed in Port Moody, North Vancouver, Richmond, Maple Ridge and Port Coquitlam, how is that for international!
My shows take me all over the lower mainland, all over Canada and world wide to boot. Being able to travel doing what you love is the greatest feeling in the world.
So you are probably wondering why I travel out of the lower mainland if I am so busy here? Well that is a very good question. First I travel only about 5 times a year for 2 to 3 weeks at a time so most of my time is spent performing right here in the lower mainland. However I travel to teach magicians how to perform and more importantly how to perform my effects and inventions. You see when you have been doing magic for as long as I have you develop a great deal of knowledge in your chosen field. I am lucky that Magic Conventions and clubs all over the world pay to fly me to them so that they can learn from that knowledge. There is no feeling in the world like teaching your peers, just great!
So I should sign off for now although I do intend on trying to blog a little more often.
Please don’t forget that I am booking events here in Vancouver for any dates following the 19th of March so give me a call at 604 800 1442 with your questions. If you need to get a hold of me between the 5th of March and the 19th of March you can do so by emailing me at email@example.com.
So until my next blog……GO CANADA!
